New York records can also be corrected or sealed under laws such as CPL 160.50, 160.55, 160.57, and 160.59, so an old copy may no longer reflect the current legal status. Verify the disposition with the originating court and use DCJS Personal Record Review when checking one's own fingerprint-supported New York history.
A record is a lead for further verification, not a verdict. Only its government custodian can confirm the current contents and whether the document remains available to the requester.

Confirm a court date or disposition with the relevant Broome court, custody or Sheriff warrant information with the Sheriff's Office, one's own statewide history with DCJS, and a registry entry with the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Only the issuing office can supply an official or certified copy.
